It is a challenging pathogen presenting a constant threat to flax production industry worldwide. As parasitic genome is arguably a centerpoint of adaptation destined to counterweight the host immune system and environmental challenges, both organisms present an excellent host-pathogen system for both applied and fundamental research. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thus, we aim to develop an effective long-term disease control strategy (e.g., resistance genes) using omics profiling. However, as we are also interested in deciphering mechanisms of host-pathogen interaction, by seeking answers to questions such as: How does <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fusarium oxysporum <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">f. sp.<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lini<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> infect plants? How does the host plant protect itself against infection? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do the fungus virulence genes and plant resistance genes co-evolve?
