Research

The primary focus of our research is the quantitative analysis of biological processes. Drawing on experimental results obtained in our laboratory, we develop mathematical models of gene expression regulation, epigenetic mechanisms, host–pathogen interactions, and individual development. We also create new methods in bioinformatics and statistics, as well as software that helps accelerate the breeding of new varieties of economically important plants. In addition, our laboratory oversees the university’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in bioinformatics.
